I was sitting in the laundrette, looking at this countdown. A quarter, and you get six minutes to dry your clothes. It wasn't enough. I had two towels, a bed sheet and a weeks' clothes. Next time I'll just do the hot wash and risk them shrinking.
So, ten days ago I took the momentous step of moving from home, in Dublin, to Toronto. Three thousand miles away. Its a different life, and this blog is an attempt of me to log my adventures, job hunting, and forging a new life in North America. I hope you find it funny, informative, and maybe, if you're in the old country, you'll realise you miss the hairy fat guy a little more.
At least I don't have to get out of bed at five am anymore. Yet.
